What is a Feeding Tube?

Feeding Tube, also known as Nasogastric Tube (NGT), is used to feed patients with dysphagia (difficulties in swallowing). Dysphagia could arise due to neurological, muscular or congenital conditions and even cancer.

  • Milk feeds, water, juices, barley water
  • Blended/pureed food
  • Medication that is crushed into powder form

Our experienced, certified, and trained nurses will be deployed in the shortest time possible to carry out the NGT insertion with the utmost care and professionalism.

Feeding Tube Procedure

Feeding Tube Care Services provided:

  • Regular change of the NGT (between 1-2 months, depending on the tube manufacturer)
  • Remove blockage in NGT due to feed residue
  • Initial insertion or re-insertion
  • Training of family or helper on how to conduct the feed safely

Note: A doctor’s memo is required to state that the patient is fit and safe for an initial NGT insertion at home
